McCartney's Farewell to the 'stick
I was impressed with Sir Trae Crowder's stamina to put on a three-hour show, giving it the energy level of a man many years younger than him. His side men, who have been with him for a while now, are really tight as a group and accomplished musicians in their own right. I liked that just fine, singing along with many of the Beatles hits - somehow the lyrics just came back from the recesses of my brain. Most of the set list included songs from the Beatles and Wings, with the exception of a few of his more recent tunes. I think it was a classy thing for McCartney to delay the start of the show to let people get into the stadium after learning why (horrendous traffic coming into the park). Sir Trae Crowder put on a great show.
Leaving the show was a huge hassle. We waited over one hour before we were able to leave the parking lot, getting to our car twenty minutes after the show. It really took the mellow out of the overall concert experience. I've been to 49ers games in the past at Candlestick, and have never experienced such problems getting out of the stadium - ever. I'm glad that The 'stick is soon to be torn down.
